Selva is a small municipality located in the Serra de Tramuntana on the road from Inca to Lluc Sanctuary, at only 2km from Inca, the center of the island. If you are looking for a place to relax, Selva is a perfect place where you can walk, enjoy good food, hiking to the mountains, biking and many more activities.
In Selva we can find several high quality rural tourism establisments, both within and outside the town that offer you a pleasant stay, away from the big tourist crowded resorts.
The Church of Selva was built in the early fourteenth century. Around the year 1600 this church was reformed and a big staircase was built at its entrance. In 1855 there was a fire that led to a new rehabilitation. The Crist Rei Hermitage was built during the decade of the 20′s of the XX century.
Selva celebrates its festivities on the 10th of August, the festival of Sant Llorenç. The Festa de la Creu is celebrated on 3rd May, which over time has become a lively craft market sample. Another important Fiesta is the Fira de ses herbes (Herb Fair) that takes place on 13 and 14 June.
The weekly market is held all Wednesdays.
